2 Kings 23

Josiah and the people make a covenant with the Lord; he cleanses the land of idolatry; he is killed in battle. His good reign is followed by two of his evil sons.

  • Verse 3 gives a great pattern to follow. Will you do the same?
  • From verses 5 and following, how wicked had God’s house become? How was it dealt with? What application can you make from this?
  • What distinguished Josiah’s reign from all other kings (v. 25)? What does that tell you about what God thinks is worthy of record?
