Ahaz leads Israel into idolatry and he and the nation suffers as a result yet they do not repent.

• Contrast the worship of the Lord with the worship of the world (vv. 2–3).
• Note verse 19. God’s ways are pleasing to Him and best for man.
• Why does the Lord send trials? How did Ahaz respond to them? How should he have responded?
