Prayer is one thing every Christian can—and should—always be doing. It doesn’t cost any money, yet we sadly devote little time to it.
Think about the frivolous, unessential, or optional things you devote time to; how does that compare with the following?
“Then He [Jesus] spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,” Luke 18:1
“They [Christians] continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers,” Acts 2:42
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,” Ephesians 6:18
“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving,” Colossians 4:2
“Pray without ceasing,” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
With this in mind, what are you doing Wednesday night?
